Don't plagiarise.

It makes you look like a complete and utter idiot and fool when you get caught out. 6 people in Concept art class was caught, and from my lecture's email;

"..based on barely altered work by world famous comic artists and illustrators. Also, I'm aware that several people are intending to pass off work clearly copied from DISNEY, seriously, DISNEY, I kid you not, DISNEY!"

"You are cheating yourself - Who is going to employ you with a folio full of other people's work? If you did manage to get a job, who are you going to copy from then?"

One of the student reps, wants to name and shame them, so they can avoid working with them in case they steal from them! I bet money these people have Da accounts where they copy and trace other people's artwork and now it's bitten them on the arse XD You get nowhere fast by stealing and altering art and claiming it's your own and you always will get caught out and in the art world, especially in the industry like animation and games, your name can be blacklisted and spread. Something like this ruins careers.

So obviously

"PLAGIARISM - DON'T DO IT!"

Especially not in university where you're doing a course purely to get a job IN MAKING ART. 8I

I emailed gabby suggesting that we should provide .psd files for submission as evidence. Yeah, I seen loads of copied Disney works rofl. Well, on the bright side, at least we get better job opportunities.

Yeah, that's a good idea.
Someone in our class wanted to find if that lion king and deer drawing was a trace he was determined to find it XD. I used to draw Lion King all the time as a young teen and even made a lion cub character, but tried to make him look nothing like Simba and I also copied from photos of lions and other animals and tired to make them my own. I come to realise I was an odd kid compared to others, using photos as references?? Copying but not accepting it as my own art or being satisfied just from copying?? Strange child.

Gabby told us about this guy who stole art from a game concept artist. He applied for this company and one of his pieces was completely ripped from his interviewer, the guy didn't realise his interviewer was that artist and the interviewer was asking him how he came up with the idea ect and got some of his colleges to view it, when there was a lot of people, he confronted the guy and told him that was his art he stole. XD Ask Gabby for the story, she loved telling it XD

Least we know they won't be any competition to us.

They never learn :( How are you going to be a good artist and improve, if you lie to yourself and everyone around you
